Motif Mobile Spa & Salon
Motif Spa & Salon Mobile Services is an innovative and modern twist on the traditional spa experience in that it brings the spa experience to you at your convenience and to wherever you are. It will offer all of the services of a stationery Spa and Salon but on wheels. Services to be offered include massages, manicures, pedicures, facials, peels, body treatments, make-up artistry, waxing and hair services.
The company is owned by Ms. Christine Wilson, LMT, LE, a licensed massage therapist, reflexologist and aesthetician with over 20 years’ experience in the industry and knowledge of a wide range of massage styles. Motif Spa & Salon Mobile Services has been in operation since 2006 as Motif Spa, operating out of Ms. Wilson’s home. Christine ensures that mobility is the latest trend in the beauty and spa industry reaching a vast clientele by bringing the spa & salon to the general public at large. Christine said, she can remember her first business back in 1995, “Nails on the go” where she went to her client’s homes and did manicure and pedicure services. It was then that she wanted to go a step further by using a Van fully loaded as a Spa & Salon on wheels. Christine has also been a Clinique and Este Lauder representative at John Bull, for a number of year and the Beauty Spot where she trained as the apprentice to Pepper Johnson in skin care and The Look modelling agency. Christine then left for New York with Ms. Johnson and landed a three year modelling contract with Belle magazine in 1999 as The Bahamas’ first female full figured international model. Before coming home, Christine took advantage of the opportunities afforded her and obtained her degree in Occupational Studies from the world renowned, Swedish Institute in New York City. Ms. Christine Wilson has trained students in massage therapy at the Bahamas Technical and Vocational Institute and has written numerous course curriculum and syllabi at The College of The Bahamas. A well rounded individual in all areas that a Spa and Salon has to offer along with the charisma and experience to go with it.
